Crossover Office-Evening Wear

By The BloomsBoutique.com.au Team February 28, 2013 No comments

Wish Outshine Blouse

How often has the afternoon come around and someone has invited you out for some evening drinks and a meal,  only to realise your dressed for the office and not the evening?  Frustrating and certainly the last thing you want to worry about...

Fear not, stylish crossover does exist!  It's often a fine balance between the style you desire for the evening and the professionalism you require for work.  For a long time, Wish have been providing the exact fashion pieces we descibe, and their latest Autumn range is no different.  We love the Outshine Blouse pictured above.  It offers the perfect balance, with the fine metal collar detail and sheer fabric offering that sophisticated style for the evening without risking the ire of management in the office.

We love it and so will you...be sure to browse our store for other great crossover pieces by your favourite clothing brands!

New Elliatt Clothing Autumn Range Online

By The BloomsBoutique.com.au Team February 27, 2013 No comments

Elliatt Unexplained Mini DressElliatt's Autumn range has hit our stores, both in store and online!

After an amazing 2012, Elliatt has exploded into 2013 with one of their best ranges yet!  We are loving their high neck lace dresses, geometric mirror prints and vibrant blazers!

Of particular note, the Unexplained Mini Dress (pictured left) is already selling fast!  Stunning lace detail over a nude rayon give this a modern baroque look...a massive trend coming this Autumn/Winter!

Additionally we love the Siren Pond Dress, featuring a geometric mirror print, and the Immortal Pants, with a striking print and tapered cut!

The Oscars, Best Dressed of 2013!

By Kelly Ferguson February 27, 2013 No comments

Who doesn't love a little peak at the amazing creations by the hottest designers? The Oscars this year had an abundance of beautiful gowns gracing the equally beautiful stars we know and love. Here are my picks of the best dressed for this year's Oscars (in no particular order)!

Firstly, Jennifer Lawrence in this gorgeous classic gown by Dior Haute Couture. Simple accessories and stunning hair complete her look.

Stacy Keibler kicks it up a notch with this sexy studded gown by Naeem Khan.

Halle Berry looks flawless in this amazing Versace dress, showing that all you need reveal is a little skin for an extermely sexy result. Simple accessories let the dress do the talking.

Naomi Watts combines the metallic trend with the cutout trend with this unique Armani Prive gown. Ah-ma-zing!

I must admit I have a bit of a girl crush on miss Amanda. She is stunning as usual in one of my favourite designers, Alexander McQueen. Heavenly.

Amanda Seyfried in Alexander McQueen

As usual Jennifer Aniston looks simply elegant in Valentino.

Now probably my second runner up favourite, Charlize Theron in Christian Dior Couture. This is an amazing example of a gown that is so well cut, it is stunning in itself, while still letting Charlize shine.

And my favourite! Jessica Chastain in Armani Prive. Old hollywood glamour meets today. I am in love.

And lastly a little eye candy, 'cos he's my main man!

Channing Tatum in who even cares?

And that completes my list of no-particular-order-best-dressed.

Who is your best / worst dressed?

Looking Forward: Your Personal Guide to Accessorising!

By Kelly Ferguson February 11, 2013 No comments

It’s that time when new season fashions start coming through the doors. So even though it’s still stinking hot, you need to be prepared to invest in the best pieces from stores before the other fashionistas do for the inevitable cooler months ahead! Read on for an exciting insight into what lies ahead for Autumn/Winter this year…

Colours in vogue will vary from earthy, to brights, purple (particularly plums and magenta), shades of grey and monochrome. Try mixing monochrome outfits with bright pops of coloured accessories for a fresh look.

Fur will be back again. Whether you are against or for the fur, rest assured there will be options for real and fake, and you will hardly be able to tell the difference! Invest in a fur jacket or fur trimmed accessories like hats and handbags or even a scarf.

Accessories will be a diverse mix of ethnic, geometric, fine, bold and textural. Oversize accessories in the form of giant neck pieces and clutches are going to continue to be big. For jewellery choose pieces that have a number of textures, neons, coloured rhinestones, dangling chains, geometric shapes and mixed metals. Swap studs for statement earrings. Natural unfinished stones, feathers and leather will also be features in designs.

Leather will be everywhere. Look for leather panels, leather clutches, vests and boots. For the brave, wear an all-black leather from head to toe for instant chic.

Keep an eye out for accessories with oriental patterns and designs. This trend is going to be big so invest in some key pieces this winter to get you started.

Hats are huge for winter. From big hats to small hats, flat caps and fedoras, anything goes for hats this winter.

Interesting eyewear is a must. From Karen Walker to Prada, your eyes are an opportunity show off amazing style. With intricate designs featuring cut-out metallic frames, rhinestones and amazing shapes, there is nothing boring about eyewear now.
